Salutations! My name is June and I am a final year PhD researcher in English Literature in Edinburgh, Scotland. Welcome to my website! I hope that you find it informative, eclectic, entertaining, and interesting.

In its current iteration, this website houses my personal blog. Here I contemplate life, the universe, and everything on subjects ranging from my PhD, literature, my Christian faith, anecdotes and personal opinion pieces on…..well……just about anything (but NOT politics!), to my three encounters with cancer, travel/days out items, to posts about slow living and the simple things in life that I enjoy, and even my cross-stitch/embroidery addiction (which is my go-to de-stress hobby). My site is still very much a work in progress and it is likely that extra sections will be added in the future.

To search for specific things I have posted about, hover over the Categories menu. A drop-down list will appear from where you can choose to read my posts on different subjects as per your interests. As I am also trying to finish my thesis, I aim to upload items onto my blog twice a week: a longer blog post on Saturdays, and one of my photographs on Thursdays.

[Update: as my husband and I are currently trying to sell our home, and as thesis-writing and researching has gained pace, these twice-weekly postings over summer/autumn 2023 will be more sporadic than planned. Normal service will resume as soon as possible].
